18 Signatures Strong: The Fight for Injured Veterans Gains Momentum
The movement to protect injured veterans from unjust discharge is growing—and every signature brings us closer to change.
As of today, the #ReasonableRanks Campaign has reached 18 signatures. These are not just names—they are statements of support for a system that recognizes the value of service, even after injury. Our message is simple: Injured service members deserve the opportunity to continue serving in non-combat roles, earn their retirement, and receive full VA benefits.
What We’re Fighting For:
Career continuation for injured but capable veterans
Case-by-case reassignment reviews before discharge
A Career Continuation Waiver Program
Protection of retirement, dignity, and benefits for those who still want to serve
This campaign was launched by Kirk Carlson, a USMC veteran who was reassigned to dispatcher duty after injury—only to be medically discharged, despite being fully capable of continuing in that role. His experience is not unique. It reflects a larger, systemic issue that has affected thousands of veterans nationwide.
Next Goal: 25 Signatures by Friday
With just a few more supporters, we’ll hit our next milestone. If everyone who has signed shares the petition with one more person, we’ll surpass 25 in no time.

Together, we can turn personal stories into policy change. The voices of our veterans deserve to be heard—not silenced.
