Courage Cadets: Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders
At Covenant of Courage, we believe leadership is learned—and the earlier we start, the stronger our communities become. That’s why we launched Courage Cadets, a youth leadership program in partnership with the JLBC Cadet Corps, designed to train students ages 12–18 in discipline, service, and career readiness.
Whether they dream of joining the military, becoming first responders, or simply making a difference in their communities, Courage Cadets equips young people with the tools, mindset, and values they need to lead with purpose.
🎯 Our Mission
To develop confident, capable young leaders through leadership training, public service, and career-focused mentorship, rooted in the structure and values of the JLBC Cadet Corps.
📘 Our Core Programs
🪖 Basic Training Bootcamp
Structured like a real-world academy, our summer and after-school cadet programs provide hands-on training in teamwork, personal responsibility, physical fitness, and discipline. Cadets gain leadership skills through drills, workshops, and challenges—building confidence and camaraderie.
🎖️ Path to Service
Many youth aspire to serve in law enforcement, the fire service, or the military but lack the mentorship and preparation to get there. Path to Service guides cadets step-by-step through physical preparation, exam readiness, and character development for future success in police, fire, or military academies.
🤝 Community Duty Days
Leadership is more than a title—it’s action. Cadets participate in youth-led service projects that directly benefit their neighborhoods, from food drives and park clean-ups to community events and emergency preparedness workshops. Every project reinforces civic responsibility and real-world impact.
🌟 Why It Matters
In today’s world, youth are looking for direction, purpose, and a place to belong. Courage Cadets provides a structured, empowering environment where young people become leaders—not just in the future, but right now.
