The California Department of Insurance is hosting staff at various Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) to assist with insurance-related matters and provide guidance during recovery efforts. These centers offer an invaluable resource for individuals and businesses needing to understand their insurance policies, file claims, and access essential support.

Upcoming Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs)

Here are the locations where you can meet with staff from the California Department of Insurance:

Los Angeles County DRC — City of Los Angeles

Location: CLA Research Park West10850 West Pico Blvd. Lòs Angeles, CA 90064

Dates and Hours of Operation: Wednesday 1/15/2025 – Continuing until further notice9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Altadena Disaster Recovery Center (DRC)

Location:540 W. Woodbury Rd. Altadena, CA 91001

Dates and Hours of Operation: Monday 1/27/2025 – Continuing until further notice 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

What to Expect at the DRCs At these centers, the California Department of Insurance staff will be available to assist with questions regarding insurance claims, policy coverage, and help you navigate through your recovery process. Whether you are dealing with damage to your home or business, these centers are a crucial resource to ensure that you have the support and information you need.

What to Bring It's a good idea to bring the following documents when visiting the Disaster Recovery Center:

  • Your insurance policy or proof of coverage

  • Any recent correspondence from your insurance provider

  • Identification and proof of address

  • Photos or documentation of any damage or losses
