In the heart of every service member lies a core belief—we don’t leave our own behind. This principle is more than military tradition; it is a moral compass, a unifying creed that transcends uniforms, branches, and generations.
Yet, far too often, we forget that the bonds forged in service extend beyond the battlefield and into the fight for justice, care, and dignity after the uniform comes off.
One Nation. One Family. One Unit.
This isn’t just a slogan—it’s a call to action. A reminder that the strength of our military, and our country, is rooted not in exclusion or discharge, but in unity and collective responsibility.
🇺🇸 One Nation
We pledge allegiance to a flag that stands for liberty and justice for all—not just those who return home whole, but also for those who bear the invisible and visible wounds of service. A nation that truly honors its veterans does not abandon them when they become injured or non-deployable. It adapts. It protects. It includes.
👨👩👧👦 One Family
The military is more than an institution—it’s a family. In families, when one member is hurting, we don’t discard them. We care for them. We make room for them. Veterans discharged due to injury, illness, or pregnancy often feel like they’ve been cut off from the only family they ever knew. The #ReasonableRanks campaign is working to rebuild that family bond through policy reform, support services, and community healing.
🔗 One Unit
In a functioning unit, every role matters—from the frontlines to logistics, from command to communications. Injured veterans can still serve in vital positions like admin, cybersecurity, training, and peer mentorship. Discharging them unnecessarily is not only unjust—it’s a waste of skills, experience, and leadership. We must reform military policy to recognize that continuing to serve in a new capacity is just as honorable as deploying.
✊ A Call to Unity
Our mission at Covenant of Courage is to fight for those forced out of service before they were ready to stop serving. We believe that disability should not mean dismissal. Our campaign is about reassignment over rejection, compassion over compliance, and human dignity over bureaucracy.
Together, we can change the culture of separation and create one of solidarity.
We are one nation, united by values.
We are one family, strengthened through service.
We are one unit, committed to leaving no one behind.
