Palisades Fire Update: Containment Progress and Recovery Efforts
The Palisades Fire, which erupted southeast of Palisades Drive and Calle Victoria in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles County, CA, has burned 23,448 acres and is currently 96% contained, according to CAL FIRE. While the fire remains active, significant progress has been made in suppression efforts, and officials are shifting focus toward recovery and support for affected communities.
Evacuations and Repopulation Efforts
Evacuation orders have been lifted for most areas, with resident-only access now permitted in zones including SSM-U010-A, SSM-U010-B, MAL-C111-B, RMB-U030-A, and several others. Access is limited between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a curfew in effect from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
In Los Angeles city zones LOS-0767-E and LOS-0767-K, all areas have been reopened to residents only. Residents must check in with law enforcement between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM at Lot 3 Beach Access, 1150 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica, CA 90403, to obtain an access pass. Contractors are now allowed into the fire area for assessment work, provided they have proof of employment by specific residents.
Recovery Resources and Debris Removal
To aid in recovery, Right of Entry (ROE) Forms for free debris removal are now available. This program, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, covers services including:
Property assessment
Hazardous debris removal

Residents must submit their Right of Entry forms by March 31, 2025.
