You're Ready for Anything. We’re Ready to Help You Succeed at Whatever Comes Next.

Serving in emergency services or the military isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. The experience gained in these roles is invaluable, shaping individuals into leaders, problem-solvers, and protectors of their communities. But when injuries or circumstances force a transition out of service, too many heroes find themselves struggling to adjust to civilian life. That’s where Covenant of Courage steps in—ensuring that veterans, first responders, and their families receive the respect, support, and opportunities they deserve.

The Everyday Heroes Sponsorships: Investing in Those Who Serve

Covenant of Courage proudly offers the Everyday Heroes Sponsorships, providing a 10% tuition sponsorship for emergency services professionals and their families. This sponsorship can be applied to:

  • JLBC Cadet Corps classes

  • Warrior Bootcamp classes

  • Covenant of Courage training programs

This initiative recognizes the dedication of first responders, veterans, and their families, easing the financial burden of continued education and career development.

The Battle After Service: Injuries, Employment, and Fair Treatment

In military service, physical and mental preparedness is paramount. The Marine Corps Warfighting Publication 6-11 (Leading Marines) describes being a Marine as “a state of mind”—a commitment beyond just a profession. This level of dedication is often compared to professional athletes, yet unlike athletes, active-duty service members don’t receive multimillion-dollar contracts.

The reality is stark:

  • Top-earning civilian firefighters make $87,341 per year or about $41 per hour.

  • Many injured veterans and disabled first responders struggle to find meaningful employment due to workplace discrimination.

  • Laws require reasonable accommodations for disabled workers, yet many veterans are forced into low-paying jobs, often at or near poverty levels.

This is unacceptable. No one who has sacrificed for their country or community should be left behind because of an injury sustained in the line of duty.

Covenant of Courage: Fighting for Our Heroes

Covenant of Courage is actively working to change the narrative for veterans and first responders. Our mission is clear:

  • Empower and support veteran defenders.

  • Help veterans rediscover their purpose through education, mentorship, and community engagement.

  • Ensure a fair transition to civilian life by advocating for employment opportunities and workplace accommodations.

Through our programs, we help veterans leverage their unique skills and leadership experience to mentor and inspire the next generation. Whether through youth programs, leadership training, or career development, we stand by those who have stood by us.
