Empowering Change: A Recap of Our Tuesday Event at Avenue Church

This Tuesday, our community came together once again at Avenue Church in Riverside, CA, for an evening of empowerment, growth, and service. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, volunteers, aspiring leaders, and changemakers gathered to learn, connect, and take action—all while making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.

A Community United for Growth and Service

In partnership with Covenant of Courage, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, youth, and disaster relief efforts, this event provided attendees with invaluable skills and an opportunity to serve communities affected by wildfires. Volunteers stepped up to assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts, proving once again that collective action leads to meaningful change.

Key Highlights of the Event

Leadership Development & Public Speaking Attendees engaged in hands-on leadership training, strengthening their confidence and communication skills. Some even stepped up to share personal stories, inspiring others in the process.

Survival Skills & Bootcamp Fitness

Participants learned practical survival techniques and took part in a dynamic fitness session, promoting resilience in both mind and body.

Resume Writing & Career Development – Volunteers received guidance on crafting strong resumes and improving job search strategies, equipping them with tools for future success.

Community & Fellowship

More than just a training session, the event fostered a sense of belonging, connection, and mutual support. New friendships were formed, and the spirit of service brought everyone closer together.

A Lasting Impact

One of the most powerful moments of the evening was hearing from a volunteer who had previously benefited from a similar community initiative. Their story of transformation and renewed purpose was a testament to the power of grassroots efforts like these.

Another highlight was the overwhelming response from attendees eager to continue their involvement. Many expressed a newfound confidence and a commitment to returning each week, proving that this initiative is not just a one-time event, but the beginning of lasting personal and community growth.
