Leadership Isn’t Taught—It’s Trained

At Covenant of Courage and the JLBC Cadet Corps, we don’t believe leadership is something you just learn in a classroom. It’s not a PowerPoint presentation or a buzzword you throw on a résumé.
Leadership is earned. Leadership is forged. Leadership is trained.
You learn it when you’re out in the heat, dragging a tire across a field while your muscles scream.
You learn it when you’re the last one standing, lifting up your team while everyone else wants to quit.
You learn it at 0500, when the world is asleep but you’re already putting in the work.
We don’t hand out ranks—you earn every stripe.
At JLBC, cadets are challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally. From fire drills to first aid, flag ceremonies to field formations, every action reinforces the habits of honor, discipline, and service. Our youth aren’t just preparing for adulthood—they’re stepping into a legacy of leadership that’s real, raw, and relentless.
And it’s not just about the youth.
Through Covenant of Courage, veterans lead the charge—reclaiming their mission and guiding the next generation. They don’t just share their experience. They shape it into something future-ready. Something fierce. Something lasting.
Because leadership isn’t about barking orders. It’s about showing up, standing tall, and setting the standard.
This isn’t easy.
It’s not designed to be.
It’s designed to build warriors, ignite purpose, and train leaders who don’t fold under pressure.
