🗞️ #ReasonableRanks Campaign Update – June 16, 2025

The #ReasonableRanks campaign continues to gain traction as veterans, advocates, and allies push for reform in military discharge policies affecting injured service members. Our message is simple but powerful: injured troops deserve reassignment options—not automatic discharge—especially when their injuries occur during training or non-combat duty.

📊 Current Progress

• ✅ 201 petition signatures from veterans, families, and supporters across the U.S.

• ✅ 100 + signatures from the recent Lazy Dog Restaurant LLC fundraiser

• ✅ Formal letter of support from the City of Corona, CA, signed by Mayor Jim Steiner

• ✅ Public outreach expanded to over a dozen churches and civic organizations in Corona and Orange County

• ✅ Multiple email campaigns launched to city councils, veterans’ service offices, faith communities, and public officials

🗣️ Advocacy in Action

Over the past month, we’ve increased outreach through:

• Email campaigns to the Veterans Affairs Committee, VA Public Affairs, and Congressional offices

• Drafted and sent over 30 formal emails to community leaders and churches requesting support

• Appealed moderation decisions on Nextdoor and launched our official business page to maintain local visibility

• Created and distributed over a dozen infographics, Facebook posts, and video-ready descriptions

📅 Upcoming Goals

• Reach 300+ signatures on the petition: https://chng.it/5yXYvkBtMR

• Secure two or more additional city-level endorsements (Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana)

• Publish op-eds and articles in military-focused publications

• Launch short video testimonials from affected veterans and supporters

• Partner with more faith leaders and veteran organizations to amplify the message

🙏 How You Can Help

• Invite Covenant of Courage to speak at your church, event, or veterans’ group

• Endorse the campaign publicly as a civic leader, organization, or faith-based partner

🇺🇸 Every voice matters. Every story counts.

Let’s continue pushing forward until dignity, fairness, and purpose are restored for those still willing to serve.
