Veterans, Valor, and Victory Meals at Lazy Dog: Supporting Our Heroes One Bite at a Time

🇺🇸 A Community That Serves Those Who Served

This summer, Lazy Dog Restaurant in Corona, California, is doing more than serving great food—it’s serving a mission. From June 29 to July 1, the restaurant will host “Veterans, Valor, and Victory Meals,” a community fundraiser benefiting the #ReasonableRanks campaign through Covenant of Courage, a local nonprofit advocating for injured and medically discharged veterans.

Whether you’re stopping in for a hearty brunch or a relaxing dinner, every meal ordered with the campaign flyer directly supports military policy reform and local veteran empowerment programs.

🍽️ How It Works

Simply dine at Lazy Dog in Corona during the fundraiser window and show the #ReasonableRanks flyer when ordering. Lazy Dog will donate a portion of your meal’s cost to Covenant of Courage—a nonprofit led by Marine Corps veteran and advocate Kirk Carlson, who has made it his mission to fight for injured service members who were wrongfully discharged instead of reassigned.

🛡️ Why It Matters

The #ReasonableRanks movement is calling for the Department of Defense and Congress to:

  • Create reassignment pathways for non-deployable but capable veterans

  • Reform outdated discharge policies that overlook support roles

  • Ensure injured troops are treated with dignity, not dismissed

These policy changes would support veterans who are still willing to serve in administrative, domestic, or training roles after injury—allowing them to finish their service with purpose and pride.

💬 Veterans in Our Community

This fundraiser is also about visibility. It’s about letting veterans in our neighborhoods know that their service is still honored, and their voices are being heard.

Local veterans, civic leaders, families, and supporters are encouraged to dine together, share stories, and strengthen the movement through fellowship. Special tables will be set up during the event for community members to sign the petition, learn more, and share messages of support.

✍️ How You Can Help

📢 Let’s Make This More Than a Meal

This isn’t just about a fundraiser. It’s about turning plates into platforms and conversations into change. It’s about honoring veterans not just with words, but with policy reform, community action, and real results.

Join us at Lazy Dog. Let’s dine with purpose.
